Our Carers Clinics are designed to provide tailored support, advice, and resources to individuals caring for a family member, friend, or neighbour. The clinics offer carers a free one-hour appointment with a Support for Carers expert at a local GP practice, giving dedicated time and space to focus on their own wellbeing alongside their caring responsibilities.

During the appointment, we aim to:

• Identify and support hidden carers.

• Offer practical advice and emotional support, including guidance on carers assessments, benefits, and additional support that may help.

• Issue a Carers Passport once a carer is identified.

• Work collaboratively with primary care to ensure carers’ needs are recognized and met.

• Connect carers to local groups and services, providing opportunities for social and peer support.

Our goal is to improve carers’ lives, helping them balance their caring role with their own health, wellbeing, and daily life.

The Carers Clinic is held on the First Tuesday of each month, and alternates between two GP practices each month:

- Heath Lane Surgery, Westfield Ave, Earl Shilton, Leicester LE9 7RT

- Station View Health Centre, Southfield Rd, Hinckley LE10 1UA
