About us

Hinckley & Bosworth Medical Alliance Ltd was formed in June 2016 and is now a well-established GP Federation in West Leicestershire. The Federation is made up of a team of clinicians and non-clinicians with considerable experience of working in healthcare across Leicestershire.

The Federation represents 12 GP Practices and 122K patients within Hinckley & Bosworth. The aim of the Federation is to support the delivery of high-quality patient care within the locality by supporting our Practices to work closely together and at scale. There is a real drive, ambition and enthusiasm to be actively involved in the care beyond the traditional “surgery front door“.

Our 12 GP Practices have formed 3 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) - Bosworth PCN, Fosseway PCN and Hinckley Central PCN. The Federation works alongside the PCNs to support them to deliver a more joined up healthcare system for our patients. This includes the provision of the Enhanced Access service which provides evening and weekend appointments using a variety of clinical staff and is available to all patients registered with one of our 12 practices.

The Federation provides patient services in Hinckley at The Centre Surgery through an APMS contract and contributes to the countywide health and care agenda for Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland. We work in partnership with a range of partners and providers, including Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT), LLR Integrated Care Board (LLR ICB), Patient Care Locally (PCL LLR), Leicestershire County Council, Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Housing, Community Safety and Partnerships, Patient Participation Groups and local organisations in the charity and voluntary sector.
