This online hub is here to help you find the support you need — whether it’s with your mental health, physical health, school life, money worries, or just having someone to talk to who understands what you’re going through.

Mental Health
Health for Teens
This website features bite-sized information on a comprehensive range of physical and emotional health topics for teenagers, including healthy eating, body image, managing stress, advice on relationships, puberty, sexuality and much more. Movie clips, audio snippets and quizzes make the site interactive, and young people are able to share content easily with their peers via social media.
Tellmi
Tellmi is a safe, anonymous app where you can talk about absolutely anything. From anxiety to autism, dating to depression, or self-harm to self-esteem. Tellmi is also successfully reaching underserved communities, as 21% of users are young carers and 4% are care experienced.
Teen Health 11-19 Service
Teen Health is a team of caring and dedicated Health and Wellbeing Officers who work across Leicestershire and Rutland to provide health and emotional wellbeing advice and support. They focus on young people of secondary school age and above, working hand in hand with you either at your secondary school or within your local community.

Kooth
Kooth is a free, safe, and anonymous online mental health support service for children and young people in the UK, typically aged 10 to 25. It’s designed to make mental health support more accessible and less intimidating for young people who might not feel comfortable seeking help in person.

Stem4 provide various award winning apps to help teenagers struggling with their mental health and mood.

Healthcare
The NHS App
The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. Download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via the Google play or App store. You can also access the same services in a web browser by logging in through the NHS website.
You must be aged 13 or over to use the NHS App.
How to register as a Carer at your GP practice
If your GP knows you care for someone, they can help you look after your own health needs better.
Does your GP Practice have your up to date mobile number?
If you haven’t updated your contact details with your GP practice your contact number will most likely be your parents/legal guardians number. It is important that you keep your contact details up to date with your doctors so they can contact you directly regarding your health. Click more to see how.

Hinckley & Bosworth Medical Alliance provide an Enhanced Access service out of The Centre Surgery and Newbold Verdon Medical Practice Monday to Saturday.
Our Men's/Boys Health Clinic
Our Men’s Health clinic allows any male patient (whether you are a young carer or not) registered with one of our 12 member practices the opportunity to book a GP appointment completely online, that is guaranteed to be with a Male Doctor.
Education
Connexions Leicester City
Connexions is an impartial careers service for young people in Leicester aged 16-18 (up to 25 for people who have had an EHCP or are a care leaver) providing information, advice and guidance on education, employment and training. Support will be delivered face to face in your local community venue or virtually.
Students with caring responsibilities
If you’re responsible for providing unpaid care to a family member, partner or friend, you may be able to get extra support during your studies.
Pathways
Pathways aim is to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential through education. They work with underrepresented groups such as looked after children, young carers and students with disabilities to broaden their horizons and consider their future options.
City & Guilds Foundation
The City and Guilds Foundation are dedicated to providing support to people facing barriers or disadvantage, offering opportunities for relationship building, creating maximum reach, establishing clear links to skills development and being measurable. They promote change through social investment, awards and recognition, and advocacy and networks.

If you’re deaf, deafblind, hard of hearing or have impaired speech, contact the Carers Direct helpline using the textphone or minicom number 0300 123 1004.
ChatAutism
Qualified health professionals from the Specialist Autism team can answer queries from autistic people, their families, carers and allies via text conversation. It’s a safe and easy way to get confidential help and advice on autism related issues. The service is available 9am-5pm every week day. You will receive a response within 24 hours, Monday-Friday. Young Carers Passport
A Young Carer Passport is available to any young carer who is referred to our service (aged 11- 18). The passport is free and is designed to assist you with helping other professionals such as GP’s or School staff, understand that you are a young carer and your needs should be considered as such.
The Mix
The Mix is the UK’s leading support service for young people. We are here to help you take on any challenge you’re facing - from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs. Talk to us via our online community, on social or our counselling service.

Leicestershire County Council Young Carers Assessment
You can get a young carer’s assessment if you’re under 18 years old. This might be done through our Young Carers Service, or if you and your family have some other things that you need help with too, it might be done with another worker from our Service.

Sophie Saker - Learning Disability and SEND Children and Family Social Prescriber
Sophie’s role is to work alongside children, young people, and their families to ensure they are supported not only with their health and educational needs, but also with their wider wellbeing.

The Laura Centre Leicester
Children and young people may find it difficult to talk about death. The Laura Centre provide a range of varied therapies suited to all young people aged 5-25 years old.
Child Bereavement UK
Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. They support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live.
Grief Encounter
Grief Encounter has trained and experienced therapists who can chat with you one-to-one and give you a safe space to talk, without anyone judging you. If you don’t want to talk, but maybe feel better creating, painting, writing or even singing, they can help with that too.
